Understand product filters and totals in the Range Report

Use the Range Report to review machine activity across a selected period. Before comparing numbers, check the machines, dates, and product filter.

Choose what to compare

  1. Open the Range Report from Reports.
  2. Select the machines and date range.
  3. Choose the available All, Ice, or Water product filter.
  4. Review the totals and average-vend information for that selection.

The national average follows the selected product filter. An Ice average and a Water average describe different activity, so keep the filter consistent when making comparisons.

Fleet totals and machine details

A summary labeled All selected machines covers the full machine selection. Expanded details show the named machine’s own results. A fleet total can therefore differ from the number shown for one machine.

For example, if one machine has 90 Water vends and another has 10, the selected-machine total is 100; the first machine’s detail remains 90.

Paid, free, and Water activity

Review separate Ice and Water free-vend information alongside the relevant totals. Water product-vend counts include paid and free dispenses and exclude rinse events. Read the displayed metric and units rather than assuming a vend count is a volume measurement.

If numbers appear inconsistent

Confirm that both views use the same dates, machines, product filter, and metric. Also check whether you are comparing an individual machine with all selected machines. If the difference remains unexplained, send support the machine name, selected period, and screenshots of both views.

Gallons vended

Gallons vended is calculated from recorded product sizes. It includes paid and free Water product vends and excludes rinse events. A vend count is not itself a gallon measurement.

Period totals can be available even when the daily Water-volume chart is unavailable. Read the metric's availability message and compare like units rather than treating an unavailable daily series as zero.
