Blower Overload alert
The blower typically comprises of a 3 phase motor that drives a fan blade to blow open the bag before filling it. This motor is powered by a contactor with a thermal overload.
The overload will trip if the motor draws too much current or runs too long. This will turn off the motor and trigger an input on the PLC (usually X11) causing the machine to go into Bulk Only mode or Out of Service.
This fault cannot be reset remotely as the overload has to be manually reset at the machine.
Try to determine what caused the overload to trip.
You can refer to the Machine Logs to check how much time passed between the customer pressing the Vend Bag button and the blower overload tripping, a long duration could cause the overload to trip.
A failed blower motor may also cause the overload to trip and it is likely to recur when you attempt to vend a bag after resetting the overload and the PLC.
The Y7 PLC Output drives the contactor.
