Vogt VT-Series Ice Maker Operation and Fault Guide

This guide covers Vogt VT-series ice makers used with MyVends. Use the machine’s nameplate and the VT service manual to identify the applicable configuration.

Operation

The controller alternates freezing and harvesting. During freezing, the compressor and circulation pump operate. During harvest, hot gas releases the ice and the chopper operates. Bin control can stop production after the current cycle finishes.

Fault indications

  • 1 flash: suction pressure low.
  • 2 flashes: discharge pressure high.
  • 3 flashes: oil pressure low.
  • 4 flashes: harvest timeout.
  • 5 flashes: chopper fault.
  • 6 flashes: pumpdown problem.
  • Solid light: power interruption.

Before restarting

Record the indication and investigate its cause. Do not repeatedly reset a recurring fault. Refrigeration and electrical diagnosis require qualified service personnel. Follow the VT manual’s restart and crankcase-heater requirements after a power interruption.

Provide the machine name, VT model, fault indication, and whether the compressor, pump, fans, and chopper operate. Include photos when available.
