ECOM Installation

The ECOM module allows us to communicate with the PLC and is an essential part of the system.

It can be plugged into any one of the 4 expansion ports on the Koyo DL06 PLC. We recommend using either port 2, 3 or 4

Turn OFF power to the PLC before proceeding by pulling the fuse beside the PLC or turning off the breakers on the bus bar.

Unused ports are covered by a blank cover which can be easily removed by gently pressing the tabs on the top and bottom.

Once you have a port open, remove the ECOM from it's anti static packaging and gently lift the tabs on the top and bottom.

Insert the module into the slot making sure it is aligned with the PLC and press gently to seat. The latches will click into place when seated fully.

Power up the PLC and connect the ethernet cable from the modem to the ECOM module. You will see 2 solid green lights on the left (100 & LINK) and one blinking green light on the bottom right (ACT).
