MyVends October 2026 Update

New Features and Improvements

Production Release: October 11, 2026

We've rolled out a substantial update to MyVends, bringing together improvements developed over the past several weeks.

This release introduces a new look and feel, expanded reporting capabilities, more flexible dashboards, and new remote monitoring and control options for supported water vending equipment.

Our goal is to give you clearer information about your machines, simplify everyday operations, and make it easier to manage your vending business wherever you are.

Discover the Updated MyVends Interface

You'll notice changes throughout MyVends designed to make the application more consistent and easier to navigate.

One of the most visible additions is the ability to choose between Light Mode and Dark Mode. You can select your preferred appearance or allow MyVends to use your device's system setting.

We've also reorganized navigation so that frequently used tools—including Reports, Machine Logs, Snapshots, Maintenance Reports, and Scheduler—are easier to reach.

Customers accessing MyVends from a phone or tablet will find improved layouts and navigation. Tables, filters, menus, and other controls have also been updated for a more consistent experience across the application.

Your existing machines, settings, and permissions remain available.

Get More Information from Your Reports

Reporting is one of the biggest areas of improvement in this release. We've redesigned several reports to help you understand what your machines are doing and how they're performing.

A More Detailed Hourly Report

The updated Hourly Report brings together sales, production, and equipment activity in a clearer format.

You can review hourly performance, examine ice maker production and harvest activity, and see water dispensing volumes on supported machines. Recorded machine events and historical activity are also available within the report.

Updated date and time controls make it easier to select the period you want to investigate.

Compare Performance Across Machines

Operators with multiple locations can now compare machines within the reporting tools.

Choose the machines you want to examine, select from the available performance metrics, and review their results over a common reporting period.

This makes it easier to recognize operating trends and identify differences between locations.

Updated Range and Annual Reports

We've also refreshed the Range and Annual Reports to present information more clearly.

Among the improvements are better separation of ice and water activity, gallons-dispensed reporting where supported, clearer free-vend information, and more consistent charts and report controls.

Additional averages and performance benchmarks provide more context when evaluating machine results.

Together, these changes help you review sales, production, and equipment performance across different time periods.

Make the Dashboard Work for You

The Dashboard now offers more ways to organize the information you see.

If you operate ice and water vending equipment, you can use separate Ice and Water views to concentrate on the relevant machines and metrics.

You can also customize the columns displayed in your machine tables. MyVends saves your table preferences separately for different views, reducing the need to rearrange information each time you return.

Other dashboard enhancements include separate counts for free ice and water vends, along with additional water vending details such as coin changer cash information on supported equipment.

These changes are intended to help you find the information you need without sorting through unrelated machine data.

New Capabilities for Advanced Water Vending Equipment

This release expands the information and controls available for water vending machines equipped with the Advanced Water Control board.

With the proper hardware connection, MyVends can communicate with the water vending controller to display equipment information and perform supported commands remotely.

Finding the Water Vending Controls

To access these features:

  1. Sign in to MyVends and locate your machine on the Dashboard.
  2. Select the machine to open its details page.
  3. On machines that include both ice and water equipment, choose the Water view.
  4. Go to Commands to find the available water vending actions and coin changer details.

Operate Your Water Vendor Remotely

Three remote commands are available for supported water vending controllers:

  • Remote Credit: Apply credit to the selected water vendor.
  • Vend 1 Gallon: Command the water vendor to dispense one gallon.
  • Reset: Issue a reset command to the water vending controller.

These capabilities can assist with equipment testing, troubleshooting, and certain operational tasks without requiring an immediate visit to the location.

Before issuing a remote command, confirm that the equipment is ready. Some commands can cause water to dispense or change the controller's operating state.

Check Your Water Coin Changer

The water vending information now includes additional coin changer details.

Depending on the equipment, you can view the coin changer's current status, coin inventory, and the customer credit recorded by the controller.

These details can help you investigate payment issues and better understand the condition of the vending equipment.

Hardware Compatibility and Ethernet Connection

The new water vending functionality requires an Advanced Water Control board.

To use these features, the Advanced Water Control board must communicate with the MyVends modem through an Ethernet cable connection.

The expanded monitoring and remote-control features are not available for machines using other types of water vending controllers. They are also unavailable when an Advanced Water Control board is not connected to the MyVends modem through Ethernet.

Machines with Multiple Water Vendors

MyVends supports independent monitoring and commands for multiple compatible water vendors, but additional setup is necessary.

If your machine has multiple water vendors equipped with Advanced Water Control boards, all connected to the same MyVends modem via Ethernet, additional configuration steps are required to establish proper communication and independent control.

Please email support@datawrx.com to request the configuration instructions.

Be sure to provide the machine name exactly as it appears in MyVends so our team can identify the correct equipment.

Other Fixes and Improvements

In addition to the larger features described above, we've made a variety of smaller updates throughout the platform.

These include improvements to machine logs and event reporting, clearer alert descriptions, corrections to water vending reports, and better mobile signal information for supported equipment.

We've also refined navigation between machine information and controls, addressed various software issues, and made changes intended to improve overall performance and reliability.

Not every improvement applies to every machine; availability depends on the equipment and configuration.

How to Get Support

We anticipate a higher-than-usual number of questions as customers begin exploring this release, particularly the new water vending functions.

For questions about these features or requests for configuration assistance, please contact us by email at support@datawrx.com rather than calling.

When sending your request, include:

  • Machine Name: Use the exact name shown in your MyVends account.
