Ice maker running too long

This alert identifies unusually long ice-maker operation from the telemetry available for the machine. It is a reason to investigate, not proof of a particular mechanical failure.

The default thresholds are more than 24 continuous compressor-running hours, or more than 180 recorded harvests in the last 24 hours. Applicable thresholds are configurable per machine, so check the values shown in its notification settings under Settings > Machines.

After the harvest-count condition triggers, a lower recovery threshold helps prevent repeated on/off alerts near the trigger point. The alert details describe the relevant counts. The conditions evaluated depend on the installed and configured compressor and harvest inputs.

Review current demand, recent production, bin status, and sensor readings before changing thresholds. The check is not conditional on a minimum number of vends.
